Career Column

Whether after many years on the job or early on in their careers, how many people wonder: “does my job make me happy? Am I happy with my job?” If your answer to that question is “no”, the solution may lie in a reorientation ...

Bilingualism is usually defined as the practice of two different languages. However, one can speak and write two languages with a different level of skill. The mastery of a second language can be attributed to the requirements of a job or to the person's background.

A few years ago, changing jobs was a process that only took a few days; the number of jobs available on the market was equal to the number of job seekers, thus generating a rotation of staff from one firm to the other.

The first impression you make on a prospective employer is the most important one. The first judgment a recruiter makes is going to be based on how you look and what you wear. The old adage could never be so true, "You never get a second chance to make a first impression."That is why it is always primordial to dress professionally for a job interview.

The Montpetit Group on a trip !

This year, our President Danielle Montpetit is bringing us to Nassau as a token of her appreciation and recognition to her team and colleagues.

“ Once more, I will have the great pleasure of living a wonderful 4-day trip with the best team possible! I am fortunate to have a team of talented and professional individuals. For me, this trip is a symbol of my appreciation and recognition.

The kind of work we do is not always easy. Even though we are Human Resources qualified professionals (or equivalent) with experience in the legal field and businesses, we have to be attentive to the employer’s needs, job searcher’s requests and to the job market realities. Our teamwork helps us find the best conclusion to fulfill your requests.

To all these elements, we have to add our passion for our work, our dynamism and our smile. Our success for almost 29 years now is a secret recipe made from all those ingredients.

Thank you to all of you who will read this message, it is because of you that Groupe Montpetit is what it is today!

Thank you for being there! “
